Not much happening in the hot weather

Not much happening in the hot weather

Now that the holiday season is upon us, you might feel that your staff aren’t really working at their “full potential”.

But take consolation that they are probably working more than this guy!

A Spanish civil servant has been banned from holding public posts, after his bosses found out that he had skipped work for a decade.

Carles Recio, who was paid a €50,000 salary as an archive director in Valencia, only visited the office at 7.30am to clock in and at 4pm to clock out!

He claimed to have been “working from home” but a tribunal found no evidence for this.

On the contrary, it seems that he had spent his time running a male brothel and drawing erotic comics: he created a busty superhero named Fallarela, who hurls flaming Valencia oranges at her enemies.

All of this makes me think that lone worker guidelines really need to have a different emphasis!

Call us if you find out your staff are emulating Carles…
